On August 27, 2016 the Kanawha City Community Association will host a tribute to honor the First Responders who serve our community.  An appreciation ceremony is being planned to honor the bravest citizens who serve our neighborhood and will include 60 police officers, fireman, and emergency medical technicians.

The opening ceremony which will be held at Horace Mann Middle School is scheduled to begin at 12:00pm.  The police and fire departments will have the vehicles and equipment they use to protect us onsite for the event.  Neighbors will be able to get a closer look at those tools and will be able to get other valuable information such as current Neighborhood Watch groups and how to start one in their area.
